The movement therapy for everyone. Limber movement therapy is a maintenance program for back and neck pain. It was developed by a team of doctors, physiotherapists, and dancers. It aims to prevent spinal surgery and offers a safe option for life-long maintenance of your spine no matter your current age or fitness status. This therapeutic dance incorporates many of the principle of Pilates, yoga, movement therapies, physiotherapy and biokinetics. It could be the cornerstone of your spinal maintenance program.
Dr W Adriaan Liebenberg, a neurosurgeon who believes that surgery is not the only option. In fact - he believes it should be the last option. Dance therapy has been part of his spinal rehabilitation for the last two years, with incredible results. Not only in the prevention of spinal surgery, but also in the rehabilitation of patients following spinal surgery. The most important part of spinal rehabilitation is maintenance in a disease that has a genetic basis and is forever progressive in its nature. Dr Liebenberg now operates on less than 5% of his patients.
Seugnet's vision is to help people move, to feel empowered and to find that mind/body connection. "I educate people on the necessity of movement to maintain health as well as healing for their physical and emotional bodies." As head of the technical department at Limber, Seugnet was head-hunted by Dr Liebenberg to choreograph the therapeutic movements into beautiful dance routines. She is continually bringing innovative patterns and flow to Limber and her dedicated students.
Limber offers online subscription-based classes giving you the comfort of being able
to do your routines in the comfort of your own home and to dance like no one is watching.
